I am a British mum living in the canton of Neuchâtel. I met my partner while studying in Suisse-Romande and moved up to Neuchâtel (where he is from) and we are now raising our two children here.
While I have a big mix of Swiss and Expat friends I founds myself a bit at a loss as a new mum as to what there was to do in the canton for the under-threes. After adusting my high expectations of Gymboree classes or NCT-style groups I decided to start this blog to help mothers like me and to generate activity ideas.
So a few words to explain our blog’s name:
Teddy was mine: a little gift from my hubby in the early days of our relationship. With the arrival of our daughter I found myself tied to a baby who would only sleep on me. We tried everything until we discovered she would only sleep with one bear. This poor bear has been everywhere from tobogganing to Stonehenge!
“Teddy” was her first word and is now an integral part of our family so it only seemed fitting to include him in the blog.
